You are bidding on a beautiful 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II!
There were only 3105 Mark II's produced. It is reported that approximately 1, 500 examples are still in existence. These cars were all built by hand and considered to be the most luxurious vehicles of the era. Elites such as Elvis Pressley, Frank Sinatra, Dwight D.Eisnehower and John D. Rockefeller were owners of these fine automobiles. This is a very rare opportunity to own one of these magnificient cars.
This was the 1, 118 Mark II produced. The car is fully loaded. Power windows, power steering and brakes, power seats and the only additional option available at the time, air conditioning, all still working. It boasts an impressive 368cu.in.V8 engine producing 300hp and a fully automatic 3 speed transmission. Current mileage on the odometer shows 86, 739. The engine runs but has some lifter noise. It is sold as is. It has been repainted in the origninal color within the last year. There have also been several repairs made in the last two years including but not limited to: rebuilt radiator, master cylinder, and carburetor. Also new brake and fuel lines, battery, hoses and belts along with new wheel cylinders. The fuel tank and exhaust were also rebuilt. All of the chrome and polished stainless steel have been redone. The interior will need restored. The chassis is sound with only two spots that could use some attention that I have found. I have included several pictures and am happy to meet for an inspection. There is a crack in the backseat drivers side window (see picture)
