Lincoln Mark Series (1990)

Price: US $2,500.00
This is a 1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE Black on Black. It has a factory sunroof, which is very rare, and I purchased it in Jan. 2014 from the 2nd owner. The original owner passed away years ago, and it remained in a garage until the 2nd owner purchased it, but only owned it for a short while before selling it to me. I own an automobile appraisal company and own 3 of these vehicles, and I can say that the body and interior are in excellent condition, with the interior being about as close to new as you will find, for a vehicle of this age.
This was a California car all of its life (until I purchased it), and as a result of being stored near the water, moderate-to-excessive surface rust and corrosion started forming on several engine compartment components. The 2nd owner replaced the fuel tank as a result of rust. The underneath/floor/frame are in very good condition with no evidence of rust.
When I purchased it the engine and transmission ran great, and there were no leaks. I've never registered it, and only took it out for a short drive on 3 occasions. It has since started leaking transmission fluid, and appears to be leaking some engine oil. The engine fires right up and runs great, however the last time I drove it the transmission would not shift out of 2nd gear. It very well could be the result of low transmission fluid, as it would make no sense to me why this suddenly happened while sitting in storage, but I cannot be certain of this. The wheels are in pretty bad shape, as they have substantial corrosion/pitting. The brakes do work, but the pedal goes almost to the floor. The left front door window does not role down. I believe it just fell off the track, because you can hear the mechanism moving inside when you press the button. The exhaust is in good shape, and doesn't appear to have any leaks. The tires are Michelin Energy MXV4 - 235/60 R 16, and have approx 70-80% tread life remaining.
I'm not interested in parting out the vehicle, and I can't accept less than the starting bid price, so please don't ask. The interior alone should be worth this amount.
This vehicle would make a great project car for someone who is willing to put some mechanical repairs into it. I've just become too busy, and no longer have the time or interest in pursuing this.
I also have 4 OEM BBS wheels, but they are the stock wheels for the 1991 - 1992 LSC SE Edition, which are painted dark gray in the center. They are in excellent/like new condition, and have never been used since being refurbished. I'm willing to sell all 4 wheels for a total of $400.00 in addition to the final sale price. So if you win the bid for the vehicle, you can have all 4 wheels for an additional $400.00 if you wish. I'm not willing to sell the wheels separately, either.
Please bid wisely, as I cannot verify the mechanical condition of this vehicle. There are no warranties implied with this sale, and no returns. If you're interested in seeing more photos, please provide me with your e-mail address and I'll send you some. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. A $400.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction's end, and the remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction's end. Payment through PayPal, cash, or cashier's check.
