I have loved these cars since they came out in the 90's. I rented them when I would travel on business and would come home thinking it was time to sell the Vette. Now years later I own this amazing car. I restore Vintage Bikes as a hobby and like the old cars and bikes. I have put 20K miles on it traveling for work and hate to see the car go. I don't have to sell but my wife wants a SUV.
Jim had all the work locally over the years he owned it. New suspension all the way around, no more leaking air bags and still a great ride. The Blend Door on these cars go out and it was just replace with the suspension in early 2014. New Plugs and he replaced ALL the coil packs (I have the old coils in a Walmart bag that comes with car) Tunes ups and service regularly and he always ran Lucas in every tank. Yeah, that kind of owner. Non ethanol about every 5th tank and ALWAYS Premium fuel! Top of the line Michelin wipers and tires at the same time, early 2014.
LSC stands for Luxury Sports Coupe and is the only model with the true dual exhaust and the 290 HP Motor. All I know is its the same motor they put in the Cobra Mustang for 98. This is a 2nd Gen Car and 98 was the last year they made the Mark 8. Power everything but no sunroof to leak and no telephone in the console, sorry. JBL system with CD but as you can see from the pics I use the CD player for a phone mount. It is hard wired for the Apple Phone so when the phone rings my stereo goes quiet, sorta cool. He had that done at the stereo shop. Interfaced or something.
I get 27mph on my monthly trips to Memphis IF I leave it on cruise control, if I Cannon Ball Run it I get 22mpg, right at 300 miles one way. 450 miles on a full tank, give or take. I always run Premium Fuel but I am sure it would be ok on lesser grade fuel. Oil changes and tire rotation EVERY 3000 miles. Michelins are amazing tires and they are not showing wear after the 20k miles.
This is my daily driver so it is not perfect, some road rash on the front bumper ( I was thinking about having it painted) and a small spot on the rear bumper but the factory paint is still nice ! He had it pinstriped at the Lincoln dealer but the car looks like the day he drove it off the lot. He always kept the car in the garage and I try to. He had a car cover for years and I see a small place on the right side where the cover made a place on the paint. More pics on Monday. Wheels still shine great and over all the car is a looker. JBL sound system Rocks! OK, Classic Rock . .
I have the car for sale locally and on the forums so the listing could be pulled any minute. Call me at 931-239-0850 if you want to own a great car at a great price. I am driving it to Fla next week so I could deliver to a good home. Maybe consider a trade but I have my eye on a X5 locally. I don't have to sell so forget the low balling. Car Fax on request and I have records on the car, its stuffed in another Walmart Bag he gave me. Good Luck!
