Lincoln Mark Series (1995)

Price: US $2,000.00
For sale is my 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII. Lincoln produced the Mark VIII from ’93 –
’98, as one of the last domestic luxury sport coupes of its kind. The car features the 290HP all-aluminum dual
overhead cam 32 valve V8 that was in the Cobra Mustangs starting in ’96. You can no longer buy a solid American luxury
sports car such as this. Set on top of a
solid frame, wrapped in a beautiful Ivory Pearlescent paint and matching full
leather interior, with wood console inserts. I purchased the car from its second owner, an older
gentleman (family friend) who used the car around town and for short out of
town trips. He bought the car when it
was a year old with 10, 000 miles on it. He
took the car to the dealer every 3 months and did whatever they told him to do
(all records are still with the vehicle).
I have owned the vehicle for just about 10 years (from
88, 500 to the 149, 000). The car has
always been garaged and treated like a queen and has been our favorite car. It has been our weekend/out of town car, not
subjected to daily commuting. My wife
and I took it to Missouri last year through Utah, Colorado, ect. The car floats on the highway, and achieves
30mpg if you keep your foot out of passing gear. The car will scoot you forward calmly and
effortlessly, or will fly through the gears and bark into second if you
wish. I could write a novel about how much
my wife and I have enjoyed the car, but I will save you from that. The car is nothing short of a maintained time
capsule with tasteful modifications. The
car has always been maintained properly, all fluids flushed/ changed as
needed. This is the nicest Mark VIII you
will find for the price, needs NOTHING, records included, all service is up to
date, buy it now and drive it across the country tomorrow without hesitation.
Body – 8.5/10. The
car does have a few dings and bumps, but overall is in excellent shape for its
age. It has always been garaged, kept
clean, waxed/clay barred, and maintains its original clear coat shine. It boasts a PERFECT rear trunk key cover, grille, eyebrow, headlights, and turn signals (all were replaced when I
purchased the car to keep it looking young). The chrome trim around the car has also been updated. Car has aftermarket HID headlights, and a
brand new front license plate holder in matching color. Keyless entry and factory anti-theft all work
accordingly.
Interior – 9/10. The
interior is nearly flawless, apart from slight age that cannot be helped. The backseat has barely been used;
dash/interior has no major blemishes or problems. The car has not been eaten in or abused, and
is a pleasure to sit in. AC is ice cold, heater is hot. Steering wheel is PERFECT
under the cover. Sunroof functions as it
should. Spare tire, ect all present and
accounted for, along with owner’s manual, and trunk cargo net.
Radio: 10/10. Radio
system is original to the car; CD changer in the trunk has been hollowed out
and is no longer hooked up, but maintains appearances. The ‘CD’ button on the head unit is now
connected to an IPOD adapter to play directly through the system as if it is
the CD changer. It also charges the IPOD
while plugged in.
Suspension – 10/10. I
went through and completely rebuilt the suspension at approximately 110, 000
miles, including the air suspension. All
new bags, custom spider compressor from American air suspension (has water
drain port, manual fill valve if needed, and air pressure gauge), all ball
joints, tie rods, bushings, wheel bearings, ect were replaced at this
time. Car still drives nice, tight, as
it should.
Brakes – 10/10. Brakes are new on the car. Factory rubber lines were replaced with stainless steel braided lines
and cobra front brake calipers. Car
stops on a dime.
Engine – 10/10. Engine runs like a top. All hoses
(yes even the two heater hoses), have been replaced, oil filter adapter gasket, plugs, wires, IAC, TPS, EGR tube, o2 sensors, idler pullies, radiator, coolant
reservoir, thermostat, coils, have all been
serviced. The car is polite and does not
mark its territory (no leaks!), and idles like a kitten or screams like a tiger
(whichever you please). Car uses NO oil
in between changes. Car has a BOC (blue
oval chip) chip in it, which improves performance, along with a dyno-tech driveshaft
for smooth rolling. Car passes smog with
flying colors (with the chip, or without)
Transmission – 10/10. Transmission shifts well, crisp, and clean. Transmission does have a J-MOD completed, along with updated accumulators and springs installed. I have no doubt it has plenty of life left in
it.

Car is located in Southern California. Shipping and/or pickup of the car will be the complete responsibility of the buyer, reasonable accommodations can be discussed. Garage storage of the vehicle prior to pickup can also be arranged.
