This car is all about POTENTIAL. Ford's 50th anniversary top of the line Lincoln Capri Sport Coupe model 60 A. Stored inside past 48 years. Has 1967 PA inspection sticker and license plate. Odometer reads 44, 800 + miles. Data plate decodes as built June 3, 1953 at Wayne, MI. Color scheme is Regent Black upper and Royal Red lower with red leather and black nylon interior. Exterior (only) was repainted in present red/white scheme sometime PRIOR to 1967 and before put in storage. Standard or factory optional equipment includes: tinted glass, radio, rear speaker with fade control, power antenna, dash and trunk courtesy lights, door edge guards, left outside mirror, clock, 4 way power seat, power windows, power steering and brakes, inside day/night mirror, fender skirts and windshield washers. It is missing one trunk/door key, one hubcap and the windshield washer glass bottle with bracket; otherwise it is 100% COMPLETE. Other than exterior respray, it is also totally original and intact; down to the correct wiper arms/blades and radio suppression clip. Repainted nearly 50 years ago, surely any rust issues, poor repairs and other such flaws would be evident by now. I find only ONE small area of body rot from rust. Please see ALL pictures provided. This rust/rot spot is at the end of the left rocker panel, where it overlaps the quarter panel joint. Lots of SURFACE rust along body edge and underneath that would easily blast away. I also note that leaking battery has corroded much of the battery box FLOOR (a separate part from the body). I do NOT see any evidence that any original sheet metal panels, doors, etc. have been repaired or replaced. Doors, trunk, hood fit properly with correct gaps. Again, please study pics carefully. Car is straight as an arrow with minimal paint chips and dings. Years of field mice have; unfortunately, destroyed the rugs, seat padding, and some of the wiring. ALL of the diecast chrome bits are there with typical pitting. The interior and exterior stainless steel trim is exceptional and again ALL there, with only 3-4 of the exterior pieces dinged or dented. Both bumper assemblies are complete but much of the bumper chrome has peeled. LF bumper end is clearly bent up or out of position, but nothing underneath shows any damage. Has remains of a rear bumper hitch. Engine will start and run, but is not in driving condition. It needs all belts, hoses, and some wiring. Obviously, after years of storage, new exhaust, tires, and brakes are required too. New battery. Email any questions or (570) 988-0048. Pickup/shipping is responsibility of buyer.
