1954 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. - 2 Door Hardtop
Original 1954 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. Primed and ready for restoration. This car was originally Ambassador Blue and Columbia Blue from Lincoln, the paint looked to be original with red primer underneath. Only exterior of body was primed. Did not prime trunk, door jams, under hood etc. Still have original spare wheel that will be included in purchase along with a floor compartment battery cover. This car has original 6V electrical system. This car has been parked inside since 1978, inspection sticker from 1978 still on window. Brake booster has been rebuilt, the master cylinder has been rebuilt (appx. 4 years ago) and 2 new wheel cylinders have been installed. New brake shoes have been installed on front brakes, rear not installed but will come new in box with car. Open Texas title.
This would make a great original restoration or resto-mod project. In perfect condition to customize. In great condition for its age, solid car. More pictures available upon request.
Condition:

Great condition- no rusted through panels, floors, trunk. Surface rust was visible, car was sanded and primed to protect it.
Vehicle has had primer applied over sanded original paint. All stainless chrome present with the exception of 1 headlight trim ring, the hood lip molding and the quarter panel knight emblem. All other trim included, in good shape for age, original chrome/stainless. Missing one fender skirt. Interior stripped except the headliner. Seat frames sanded, primed and painted semi-gloss black. All original aged interior removed in preparation for new upholstery. Complete door panels remain assembled with backing boards and trim, were saved for purpose of having original pattern, comes with car, will need to be replaced. Dash in tact, complete with no cracks. All knobs present. All windows good, looks original. Hooked a 6V battery up and all windows, seat motors and dash lights seemed to get power, but wiring may need updating. Have pictures of car through process of cleaning, prepping and primer. Minimal body filler used, most imperfections corrected with a dent puller. This car is being sold as a roller with no engine, we still have original 4 speed automatic transmission and torque converter that will come with car.
