to the stretch areas and bit behind rear doors and re-painted those areas, and it NOW LOOKS BETTER THAN WHEN I BOUGHT IT. put in new DVD Player, interior is 8/10 just for general wear and tare, no rips. exterior is 8/10 some 19 year old road rash, nothing bad, left front turn signal glass is gone but still works.
The tires in photos were all replaced two weeks ago and are all on matching rims. (There is a good spare in the trunk on the different rim you see in the photos.)
I used good sticky spray glue to glue up the roof liner over rear window, it was so sticky it stuck a bit out of position and I could not remove it, thus, you can see some of a trim piece showing above the window ( not a big deal), My Dad did the body work, he is a great fiberglass man so it was done with fiberglass so it will not rust again. (SEE PHOTOS) We ordered automotive paint and clear coat by the VIN number, to re-paint the repaired areas (Very expensive). But after we sprayed it, you can see it does not exactly match the old paint. I believe a previous owner must have re-painted it with a bit different shade of white? Noticeable? yes. but again not a real big deal. I am proud to drive it again and the kids are even happy to ride it in again. But the wife still wants it gone. .. Happy wife, . ...??
Several years ago, I had 8 large adults in the back for a Lions Club event and the weight made the axle rub on the wheel well just in front of the rear passenger seat. At highway speeds, the heat melted about a 3 inch square of carpet and it started to smoke. A handy water bottle cooled it down quick. Very exciting! I pulled over and we moved two of the biggest up front with me and others to front of J seating and we made it the rest of the hour trip and back without incident. I had the air shocks replaced after that, but I am still careful not to let the Big ones in that back seat. The melted carpet area is not visible because it is under the original big floor mat that goes up and over the wheel well. I also replaced the muffler at the same time as the shocks. Most of the pocket overhead lights in the rear do not work?? But Halo, bar lights and foot well lights do. I have put less than 10, 000 miles on it in the time I have owned it!! I was surprised at how well it does on gas, 15-20 miles/gallon. Its' low-n-long profile cuts through the air like an arrow!! Way better than our High top van!!
The new DVD Player is setting in the place were the original TV was (It went bad). The cord is long enough that it can easily be lifted out and placed on top of the wood bar or placed in a lap.
I never rented it out, but I am sure it could be used as a lesser tear rental. Horn plays the Wedding march. (Also helps turn heads) It has a place for an extra battery in the trunk. It has the extra electrical box for it near front battery, I was told that controlled it, but I never figured it out?? There is a slow drain on the battery (not sure from what) if it sets several days. So I put a cut-off switch on the battery so I can disconnect it when the car is going to set very long. (Very easy... twist on, twist off)
I had the vinyl top replaced about 6 years ago, the place did a BAD job, it had valleys in it where water would pool. I made them strip it off and fix the low spots. They did it, But I think the off and back on process made it come up a bit short at the front window and maybe stretched the center seem. With-in a year the center seem was starting to separate (split) and the front edge was starting to come loose and flap back. I called them but they refused to fix it, said they already lost money on the deal. So my Dad and I glued down a 3 inch wide strip of stiff vinyl over the seem and a section of new vinyl over the front drivers area then added a chrome strip to hide the edge. You can see it in the photos. I think it looks good and adds a bit of character. I bought some Good Paint made for painting Vinyl pools and re-painted the top. It looks pretty good!!
I promised my Dad 1/2 of the sell price for his great work fixing the body and replacing the starter . .. But I do hate to see it go, I have enjoyed using it when we had a big group to go out to eat or out for fun. Always get lots of heads to turn, and now it looks soo good!! Check out the pics!!!! When it is your personal car, you do not need a special license to drive it (as long as you are not renting it out)!! At least these are the rules in Indiana, and I think it is the same in most if not all states. I was always the driver, (no special license). .... never got to ride in back of my own Limo!
It's a nice, dependable, BIG TOY. I believe I have reported all important things about it. (It will make the next owner very happy!!) Ready to drive anywhere!! But as usual, you can have it inspected before payment if you like.
It is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold!
Thanks for looking!!

“Sad to have to sell it.. Wife is insisting it go. I have owned it for about 10 years. Used for personal use as a BIG Toy. Took daughters and a few friends kids to several proms, dinner dates, pick up kids for my church youth programs, one Wedding and BACHOLORETTE PARTY!!!! used it on two family vacations(yes), etc. The motor and transmission have always been great. It had several areas on the body which would create rust streaks down the side of the stretch area. They kept getting worse and the kids grew up and no longer liked to take it out so it sat for about a year and rusted even more. Someone offered to buy it locally and I was going to do it, but it did not start. So he said no. I knew I had to fix it to sell it, so I did!! Brand New Tires, new Starter, Rusted stretch area repaired and re-painted (and bit behind rear doors) put in new DVD player. It NOW LOOKS BETTER THAN WHEN I BOUGHT IT. interior and exterior are 8/10, Great BIG TOY or rental, Read much more below!”
