1990 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE Lots of Mods Killer Looking and Running Car.
I have owned this car for over 10 years & have buckets of cash in all the expensive areas on these cars. However I am listing it as RUNNING PROJECT it needs some work however it does run and drive great with tons of power here it goes--
New stuff-
New 345/30/19 tires on rear Corvette Z06 rims, 4 wheel alignment , brakes, front wheel bearings, Spax coil overs on front.
New clutch and resurfaced flywheel.
Walbro Fuel pump.
Engine out service with all new Valves, port and polish head, decked, reconditioned exhaust manifold, (straight pipes sounds amazing!!) RC oversize injectors, Plug wires, platinum plugs, Remapped computer (lotus by Claudius) New water pump, new timing belt with cam timing change, ALL new hoses and ancillary belts, thermostat, flushed radiator, rebuilt oil pump, much much more..
V8 body kit, V8 taillight panel with all molded seams, V8 seats.
Car starts runs and drives great however it needs some work---
Turbo seals leaking and burns oil (smokes)about 50% of the time needs a rebuild(easy job about $300 exchange T3 turbo)
Has a few oil leaks, Clutch slave cylinder leaks a little, and after sitting fluid has to be added, I think the left rear wheel bearing is starting to hum, Some cracks in bodywork, Widows are slow , Climate Controls do not function.
Left fuel tank was leaking so it is blocked off running on right tank. Gas gauge does not work.
Speedometer has not worked in a while, it buzzes and bounces but does not work so the odometer reading is not correct. Headlight motors a little slow. Lots of other little stuff I am sure I am missing.
I am selling this as a RUNNING PROJECT CAR!!!
IT NEEDS SOME TLC However over the years I have spent a TON of cash in all the right spots, This car is for an enthusiast/ mechanic that will enjoy tinkering with it as you drive it.
Please do not bid if you are the type of person that buys a Mercedes with 150k miles on it because it is cheap then you hit the roof when the heater core goes out!!
