For auction is my Esprit Turbo, a truly great car. This one has less than 24000 miles. I am the third owner having purchased it 4 years ago after a year long search. The work done is documented below.
The Lotus is completely original and all systems work as they should with 2 exceptions. The windshield washers do not work. I installed a new pump which operates fine. Somewhere a hose is kinked or cut. The ABS pressure switch failed. The ABS is from an early '90s GM product but this switch is unavailable. By researching some UK Esprit websites I learned the work around. The switch I designed works fine and maintains the system pressure as per design parameters. As part of the rework I installed a gauge to verify system pressure. Occasionally the yellow panel light flashes.
I have all books (leather bound owner’s manual) and tools (jack, spare, lug wrench, plastic case tool kit over the battery in the back, roof bag and sun roof wind deflector) that came with the car when new. Two complete sets of keys. Central locking works as it should.
The paint is original and shows the wear of 20+ years. The previous owner bumped the left front bumper with his snow blower and cracked the paint. Tires are 3 year old Kuhmo Escatas, not the best handling but I wanted to keep the original Revolution Wheels. I have the certificate of provenience and documentation from Lotus Cars which goes with the car.
I have had several toy cars and thought the Esprit was to be the “forever” car. But realized there are several other cars I really want to own (Elan +2S, MGB GT, TR 250) so The Lotus is for sale. I removed the rear wing (I think it looks better). It is bubble wrapped in the basement and comes with the car.

Replaced spark plugs
Installed Sony radio with Bluetooth and USB port
The original radio and amplifier unit goes with the car.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer is responsible for a $1000 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. The balance of the purchase price will be transacted via bank transfer or cash
