For sale is my Esprit Turbo, a truly great car. This Lotus has less than 24000 miles. I am the third owner having purchased it 4 years ago after a yearlong search. The work done is documented below. Any work not done by myself is noted.
The Lotus is completely original and a joy to drive. It starts easily and idles well when warm. The engine does not leak oil or coolant and pulls strongly. I have all the books (leather bound owner’s manual and radio manual) and tools (jack, spare, lug wrench, plastic tool kit over the battery in the back, roof bag and the sun roof wind deflector) that came with the car when new. Two complete sets of keys. Central locking works as it should. The paint is original and although not perfect shows its age well. Tires are 3 year old Kuhmo Escatas on the original near perfect Revolution Wheels. ’93 is the only year these wheels were fitted by the factory. I have the certificate of provenience and documentation from Lotus Cars which goes with the car. This Lotus Esprit was the 19th of 55 cars in this series. Part of the package from Lotus Cars was a copy of the original Monroney Label (MSRP $67, 944.00). The windshield washers are the only system that does not work. A new pump was installed but a kinked hose must be preventing fluid from reaching the nozzles. During my ownership the car was never driven in inclement weather so I never pursued a repair. Occasionally the ABS light flashes but the system works as designed. The A/C is cold.
I have had several toy cars and thought the Esprit was to be the “forever” car. I recently realized there are several other cars I really want to own (Elan +2S, MGB GT, TR 250) so The Lotus is for sale. I removed the rear wing (I think it looks better). It is bubble wrapped in the basement and comes with the car.

Cleaned and treated leather
Replaced all speakers

Charge cooler pump rebuilt
New oil pressure sender
Resealed injectors
Repacked front wheel bearings
Replaced left rear wheel bearing

Gearbox filled with MT-90
Replaced spark plugs
Installed Sony radio with Bluetooth and USB port
The original radio and amplifier unit goes with the car.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The buyer is responsible for a $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction end. The balance of the purchase price will be transacted via bank transfer or cash
