1974 JENSEN HEALEY MARK II CONVERTIBLE ROADSTER
This 1974 Jensen Healey roadster is powered by the 145-hp, 16-valve, 2-liter Lotus 907 twin-cam engine coupled to a four-speed manual transmission is a very powerful sports car. By way of comparison a TR6 of the same period offered only 105 hp and the MGB barely 80. Top speed of the Jensen Healey was approximately 125 mph.
Hemmings Motor News reported:
It's seldom mentioned in the same breath as Triumph, MG, or even Datsun, Alfa Romeo or Fiat, but the Jensen Healey was a serious car that sold in serious numbers. Because of the relative obscurity outside of the club scene, it's an outstanding value against its competition today. With a 140hp twin-cam under the hood of a 2, 116 pound car, the Jensen Healey was priced well above a 240Z, lower than the high-powered convertibles from Jaguar or Porsche, and almost twice what would get you into an MGB or TR6. What to Pay - Low - $7, 000 Average - $14, 000 High - $18, 000
