Hello all, Thank you for looking at my 1965 Lotus Super Seven Replica
built in 2012 by Bob Fine of Orlando, Florida. This is just like an original Lotus Super Seven, a Caterham Seven, a Super 7, or Bricklin. This is the only car I know that seems more like an F-1 Car than a grocery-getter. Reving the race car sounding engine always brings a smile to my face, and will to yours. I've given many a child and then father a ride (because dad truly wanted the ride.) If you enjoy attention and questions such as what exactly is that?, and wasn't that the evil guy in Fast and the Furious's getaway car?, and comments of I know she is fast!, and she is... I've owned several high performance cars, and hands down, this is the most fun on 4 wheels I have ever had. Just remember, a Porsche 911 is exciting to drive, while this is exhilarating. This is also much more fun than a side by side, and is street legal!
This is a 1965-1968 Super Seven Replica, this weighs 1100 lbs wet and has 168 hp at the rear tire as it was dynoed and the engine mapped. This was made to the light specifics of the Caterham R 500, yet made to be more reliable and safer. Such additions were designed to add more comfort for the driver, the seat is able to be adjusted. I'm 5'8 and 200 lbs. This was made to accommodate taller people than myself and I had to add adjustable seat rails in order for me to reach the pedals. So yes, the driver seat is fully adjustable, my 5'4 father can drive it or 6'2' employee. Also, the original Caterham and Lotus plans do not incorporate a fire wall. This has a firewall, as every car with a motor should, and it is more than substantial even at it's light weight. This car was not made with the unreliable land rover engine, like the Caterham R500 but, instead it uses a 2006 GSX-R Suzuki 1000cc engine that was mapped and balanced to perform and have the most available torque with reliability. The engine has 7, 100 miles on it while the car and chassis has 2600+- Miles. The engine comes stock with 178 hp, but that never makes it to the rear tires, after having everything reworked we have 168hp at the rear wheel which is just amazing. Never just believe the engine horse power, its at the wheel where it counts. This was Bob Fine's 5th Lotus Super Seven he created from Caterham and Locost kits. He has over 2000 hours of blood sweat and tears into this project and knew his son would drive it, so all the additional safety. You can buy a new kit from caterham for 23204.80 US Dollars minus shipping, then take the 300-2000 hours it takes to build it yourself and still not have this exciting of a machine. Bid on this today for instant gratification!
This 1965 Lotus Super Seven replica also has a balanced drive shaft rather than a chain drive from the suzuki engine to the rear differential. This has a differential out of an rx7 twin turbo, making this a very strong rear end. One can do burnouts all day long if they really wanted to. It has LED head lights and running lights. The interior cockpit has a built in GPS and huge lighted centered tachometer with gear indicators. This is a six speed sequential shift manual that is perfect for quick precise shifts up and own. This is a BEC engined Lotus with a drive shaft. It also has a dampener on the brakes if you want to set this up for track use. The front suspension is fully adjustable also for track use. It has a large 15 gallon rear racing gas tank with embedded foam so the fuel does not slosh. I personally wanted to use this in autocross events. Yet, as a funeral director (why there's an old hearse in the background of the pictures) with 2 young children, I don't have the time on the weekends when events take place. I generally use this as car for fun and cruising through the back roads near the hocking hills of southern Ohio.

To see it in action on a track. Search Gsxr1000 lotus 7 dyno here to see when it was dynoed. Having it dynoed shows that yes, it's powerful, and that the car can easily handle a dyno pull, (Something I wouldn't do with an original 1965, Lotus because I'd be too fearful something would break or grenade just from the dyno resistance) It's a great car that was made to handle anything you give it, you won't hurt this car, drive it and enjoy.
This vehicle is simply driving synergy. I have owned several amazing vehicles in my life, 1968 mustang, 1973 supercharged mustang., rx7, toyota mr2, an M3 bmw, all amazing cars, they all had amazing abilities each, mainly power and then cornering ability. This car is true driving performance. This is 168 horses on a 1100 lb vehicle wet, which makes this weight to horse power ratio hands down unbelievable! It has been modeled after a Super Light Caterham R500 built for quick speed which was based on the 1968 Lotus Super Seven Design, as this one has been designed. It has an added firewall and also racing roll over arm/helmet protection strap for extra safety. It is as quick as any super car! It sticks to corners as if it were on rails. I love this car, its incredible! If you have any questions or want to take a look at it prior to the auction ending, call me at 740-438-323five or email through here. I have it in Lancaster, OH 43130. I will work with any shipping company you would like, but, you will be responsible for payment first. Payment can be in the form of cash upfront, or wired funds, or cashiers check (that has to clear first) I'm pretty flexible, I can pick you up at the Columbus Airport if need be, or keep it stored for a month if you need. Thank you for looking and enjoy bidding on a rare and fun car. Good Luck!
