Maserati Coupe (1985)

Price: US $200.00
You are bidding on a 1985 Maserati Biturbo ES project car. Car was parked by the previous owner after the clutch slave failed. I purchased the car as a project in 2012. If you are not familiar with this particular car, do your homework. This is not a VW Beetle that you will have running in a couple of days; parts are not cheap and the blog community is less than friendly with newcomers. ALL OF THE PARTS ARE THERE, whether you see them in the photos or not. I have never started this car, nor have I attempted to. The fuel tank has been flushed and reinstalled; most fuel and some vacuum lines have been replaced. The timing belt and water pump have been replaced, the engine turns easily. All of the glass is intact, no cracks. Any parts not on the car are in boxes, to include but not limited to the grill, front and rear light fixtures and lenses, radiator, alternator, smog equipment, the rebuilt Weber carb and all turbo piping. The hood and trunk lid are not attached. All badges are intact. All of the fasteners are in plastic bags and not labeled. The spare tire was purchased new last year, the other four tires are servicable with no slow leaks or other issues; no dry rot. You will need a trailer and a method by which to carry the boxed parts home. The following parts have been replaced; the plenum water lines; one vapor pump; fuel tank filter; fuel pump silent blocks; thermostat; both sway bar links; timing belt and tensioner; carb rebuilt; water pump. The interior, typical of this era Maseratis, is shot; the brown carpet has faded to green and the crap Alcantara seats are coming apart. Replacement front door panels from a Biturbo Spider are included. Wheel dollies are not included in the sale. I am relocating and would like to find the car a home. I do not have the time or ambition to part it out; if you want parts, buy the whole thing and cannibalize it as you see fit. I have every confidence the vehicle will run once reassembled but I make no guarantees one way or another. If you have SPECIFIC questions please email. Car is sold with a ridiculously low opening bid and no reserve. Not a gear head? Leave it alone. Title is clear but not current.
