1982 mazda b2200 diesel truck-2.2l Perkins natrauly asperated diesel engine-Rebuilt 5 speed (all german Jap or domestic berings, late model RX7 main shaft and couter shaft as well as close ratio gearing)
I am the second owner and I have had the truck from 120k miles and have done the flowing mechanically, replaced the water pump and alternator with rebuilt units, replaced the clutch pack when the trans was pulled, Batterey is but a year or two old, new rear main seal, just installed NEW master cylinder for the brakes and clutch also flushed the lines, new oil cooler lines, replaced the radiator with a griffin race aluminum radiator (this required miner modification of the front grill support) tires have around 15 to 20k on them passenger side front tends to where a wee quicker than the others might be from my driveway tho, there are many other things done to the truck here and there to keep in on the road that i can not think of. An inexspencive paint job was done on the truck it looks great however all the little dents where not fixed first they didint bother me, the interior head lamp was modified to led and there are two led driving light on the front bumper, the truck needs a carpet I have not purchased that yet you can purchase it here on ebay for 140 free shipping, also it leeks a drip or two of oil nothing iv ever been concerned about, no blow by, the engine is stock, aftermarket air filter tho. the dash is realy nice as is the head liner, id like to redo the door panels as may you. New door seals.
I used this truck as a parts/gopher truck for my business but Im geting out of california and heading back north and sadly can not take this little sweetheart with me, if I drove 55 I got 35+ miles per gallon and one time got 43 mpg on a tank. but I drove it on back roads (I lived back in the hills) and do about 70 on the high way so I usually got 29-32 miles per gallon. it hasent much problem rolling down the highway.
