In reference to the issue of the car being declared as stolen at one time my Mazda dealer where the car was purchased by the first owner and myself, I was told the first owner parked the car illegally and the car was impounded by the city. She came back a few days later and since the car was missing she reported it stolen. The car stayed in impound for a few months before everyone realized. So the car was not really stolen.
