For Sale: 2006 Mazdaspeed 6, GT optioned, 2.3L Turbo DISI, Black Cherry Mica exterior, Black Leather interior. This is a complete ROLLING CHASSIS!
The following items are NOT included or installed: Complete Engine Assembly, Transmission, and AWD PTO/Transfer. Aside from the aforementioned items, the vehicle is complete, not missing a bunch of other little items! Review the pictures closely, they show the exact condition the vehicle is in, and depict precisely what the buyer will receive unless alternate arrangements are made.
I will try to give a very complete, upfront, and honest description of the car, so potential buyers are not faced with any surprises when coming to inspect / purchase the car. I also have 50+ large, detailed pictures that I am happy to send to any interested parties. Don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like the copies of the 50+ pictures, have a specific picture request, or have questions about anything I haven't covered / missed in the description. I'm happy to talk to you about the car, and will be 100% honest about its condition.
As mentioned, this is being offered for sale as a complete ROLLING CHASSIS. It will include everything you see in the pictures, exactly as it is shown. It is not missing 100 odd & end little nit-picky items, however you will need a complete engine assembly/transmission/PTO to put it back together. The rear differential & driveshaft are still installed & will be included. You must be able to trailer the vehicle home if purchasing! 158, 067 actual miles, and I would call the condition normal for the mileage & age. The paint still has a nice shine, and is the often sought-after and fairly rare Black Cherry Mica color, however it does have a typical 158k miles worth of rock chips, touch-ups, scrapes, scratches, small dings, and the like. Let the pictures tell the story, I tried to capture everything in extreme detail so you'll pretty well know exactly what the condition is before coming to inspect. It has a few larger blemishes; the most notable being the large pushed in area in the left rear corner of the bumper cover. Also, the exhaust shrouds have both seen better days, have pretty significant damage, and would have to be replaced to be right. The rear bumper cover is salvageable if desired; it could be repaired by a good body shop that has experience in urethane bumper repair, or could just be replaced outright. There is no hidden damage underneath the cover. The bottom portion of the front bumper cover has some minor damage, although repairable as well. Finally, the drivers side front door has an area that seems to have brushed up against something, and put some light creases in the outer skin. The car is not rusty for a northern vehicle, however does has a few spots on the rear wheel opening lips that will need to be addressed soon before it starts to spread (this seems to be the first place rust pops up on this chassis type). The complete undercarriage; floorpans, front cradle, suspension, frame rails, etc. is all in great shape, nothing more than very minor surface rust here and there. Again, refer to detailed pictures. No accident history in records, nor any evidence of accident damage anywhere (aside from the previously mentioned minor bumps & bruises), it is all straight and damage-free. The doors all close solid/tight, all rubber/weatherstripping/seals are in good shape, all power options work correctly, windows roll up & down correctly, and so on. I have 2 key cards w/ keys for the vehicle, although to the best of my knowledge neither card seems to be working. A/C system is complete & working / still charged (compressor was not removed with engine, left installed in vehicle), as well as power steering (pump not removed with engine, also left installed in vehicle). All glass is good, aside from windshield (the rear view mirror has been smacked off somehow, locally damaging the glass from the inside). It rolls on original & straight MS6 wheels that have been painted black, seemingly with a nice/durable paint, and 3 bald / 1 fairly decent tire(s). Brakes (including emergency) are 100% functional and pads are fairly fresh. Bilstein struts/shocks on all 4 corners are installed; a nice, and expensive, addition. The interior is pretty nice for the age & mileage, although does have areas of minor wear. Most notably, the drivers seat bottom has a split in the leather. Aside from that, the remainder of the interior has normal light wear & tear, but nothing that stands out. It is missing the rear headrests & all floormats aside from the front drivers side. The vehicle is all stock, aside from deleted mufflers, and the Bilstein shocks. I believe that pretty well covers the condition A-Z. Anything that I have not specifically mentioned is in very nice condition! The pictures should tell the story quite well. Again, if I missed anything you'd like to know about, don't hesitate to ask!
I am offering the car for sale as a complete roller, as it was saved from a junkyard and I'd like to see it go to an enthusiast rather than used for parts! It is not perfect by any means, but is a sought-after 1-year only color, and for an enthusiast, could make a great start for a project car! It would be great for somebody that has a wrecked or salvage history MS6, that would like to put together a new car with no accident history & a clean title! I am hopeful the car will be sold to somebody that appreciates it for what it is; these cars are a blast to drive, and beautiful to boot!
EDIT, for those that previously inquired about / looked at the car: I have decided to list the car for sale as a complete roller for the least $ I can possibly take, one last time, no reserve, $1600 will take it. I have had many, many people express interest in the car as a roller, but nobody has come forward with funds and a trailer. If you have a situation that could benefit from this car, come take a look! As much as I don't want to, if I do not have any luck selling it complete by the end of this auction, I will start selling it off in pieces, as I have to start recouping my investment in some way. Those that are particularly familiar with these cars will know this car is worth more in parts than it is whole, but I would rather not strip this one! I would also be willing to consider a trade-in value of some sort for a buyer that has a wrecked (or otherwise damaged beyond useful condition) MS6 donor chassis you may want to work in to the deal in some way, if there's anybody out there in that situation. We would have to discuss a situation like that thoroughly, and come up with a value that is agreeable to each party, prior to any exchange of vehicles or funds.
