As you can tell, I am selling a wrecked Miata. Its your average NA first gen with roll-em-up windows, here are a few things you should know about it.A) The title is clear, not salvage, wasn't run through insurance so you don't have to go through the entire rebuilders process if you want to put it back together to drive it.B) When the car impacted (a Chevy Tahoe) it went under the bumper and scraped the hood and headlight back, completely cleared the frame horns and engine. So as bad as it looks, there isn't as much damage here as you would think, since the frame is largely untouched. It damaged the core support, radiator, headlight, hood, etc, so don't get me wrong, it would need some parts and someone with a slightly better than average skill set to put it back stock, BUT, after seeing a few frankestein/ratrod Miatas (I was going to put an example picture here, but some moron would undoubtedly think hes bidding on that) on the internet, I think the coolest direction is the path of least resistance by leaving the hood off, removing the fenders, installing a cool looking radiator/grill combo, welding on brackets for aftermarket or vintage lights, and call it day. ...or sure, just use it for parts, what do I care right?
DOES IT RUN? Yes, starts runs and drives under its own power, the engine and transmission seem to work just fine. CAN I DRIVE IT TO _ __ _? No. The radiator is smashed and of course doesn't hold coolant, so that would be a dumb thing to do. Bring a trailer or send a truck.
That's about it. It was a daily driver before it played pin the tail on the Tahoe.
