This is the original, Lotus Elan clone that Mazda so masterfully replicated in the Miata. A fun, lightweight, great handling sports car and this particular model is unique in that it has the automatic transmission. The vast majority were 5 speeds, so this is great for those of us that prefer not to shift. It has the 1.6 litre, DOHC 4 cylinder.
I am the second owner, having owned it since 1999. This low mileage Miata has been adult driven, always garaged, and well maintained. All service records included with car. The following items/service have been peformed since since 2010; new top, new tires, timing belt, water pump, all new hoses, new radiator etc. Regular maintenance and oil changes- all documented. Tires are 85% and in xlnt condition. Shock absorbers are original but rears are weak- replacement likely in order. The tonneau cover is included and in xlnt condition as I had the top up most of the time. Right rear tailight is slightly fogged- not major.
AC blows very cold, has been properly serviced having lived in Albuquerque prior to Pagosa Springs. Interior in nice shape- normal wear/abrasion on drivers seat on side bolster, dash is xlnt, have complete manuals and factory cover. Minor nicks and dents around car, some cracking body filler on LF fender from minor incident with prior owner, see pics. Cars runs great- recent service, brake pads replaced in last 5, 000 miles. Regular automatic transmission fluid flushes over years. Upgraded Pioneer AM-FM CD player in dash.
I've loved this car over the years, but now my ailing back mandates I consider a vehicle with taller entry. It has been a joy to own and drive over the years, and am confident it will provide many more years and miles of service with this very low mileage 1995 model.
