This car is really a nice car! It is a limited edition 10th Anniversary Miata and they built them with a six speed transmission. In 1999, Mazda’s special edition honored a special date – Miata’s 10th birthday in America. The company produced 7, 500 10th Anniversary editions for the occasion world-wide: 4, 500 for Europe and Japanese markets, and 3, 000 for the good ol’ U.S. of A. Priced at about $27, 000, all wore a coat of Sapphire Blue Mica paint, five spoke, 15” polished alloy rims and a special, numbered fender badge. Inside, the bucket seats were two-toned, with blue synthetic suede inserts contrasting with black leather, Blue carpeting, stainless door sill plates, BOSE sound system, . The black and blue theme carried over to the Nardi steering wheel and shift knob. Mechanically, the 10th anniversary cars were distinguished by a Torsen limited-slip differential, a sport-tuned suspension and most notably, a six speed transmission. The sixth cog was still a rare feature in ’99, and it made the task of keeping the four cylinder engine on the boil that much easier. It also cut down engine rpm’s in top gear, allowing for quieter cruising, and 0-60 mph times improved to about 7½ seconds.

In edition to the above, the owner has added a lot of aftermarket!! Carbon Fiber Monster Flow air intake and filter, Strut tower brace, Bilstein suspension upgrades, Racing Beat end links and plug wires, Carbon Fiber Borla Exhuast, Short shifter, Air horns, painted valve cover, Project-G Bikini top (not pictured), and the SCAA certified HARD DOG ROLL CAGE!! This car could not drive and handle any better. The 2nd owner cared for it deeply and has been a Miata lover since its inception, he took great care of it and has been garaged since his ownership in 2007.
