Description:

1991 Mazda Miata A Package 5-speed
Excellent example of a first generation Miata. Runs and drives as it should, would make a solid daily driver or weekend toy. The car has a few miles on it at 160, 000, but it shifts perfect and the engine pulls very strong. Factory front and rear air dams with splash guards. Upgraded cd player with aux input and new speakers for both doors and head rests. It's mechanically just about perfect, with the exception of the a/c not working; it would need charged and converted to the newer 134A Freon. If you're at all handy, this is an easy process. I use the car as a weekend toy so didn't feel the need to get the a/c going. I have put a bit of time and money into the car with the following updates:
New PaintNew Canvas Haartz topKumho Ecsta KH16 series tires (2, 500 miles on them)Brake rotors, calipers, and pads all the way aroundTiming belt, water pump, and tensioners Oil seals - Front main seal, cam shaft seals, cam sensor seal, valve cover gasketShocks/Struts and outer tie rod endsRadiator and ALL hoses Clutch Hydraulics (Both master and slave cylinders) New leather shift boot and parking brake bootThere are a few other little things here and there that I can't remember at the moment
I am missing the soft top boot and the owner's manual, unfortunately. The car is mostly rust free, however the typical Miata rust area in front of the rear wheels at the rockers was rusty at some point and repaired by the previous owner a long while ago. It's not yet coming back (as the pictures show) so I didn't bother having any new metal put in when I had the car repainted last summer. There is also some bubbling at the lip of the trunk door. I had it painted as the original white paint was starting to peel off on the trunk and doors (if you know anything about Miata's, you'll know this isn't unusual for early cars. The paint job was done by a small local shop, it's not a show car by any means, but good. The trim was removed to reduce overspray and the paint has a nice gloss.
Overall it's a great little car and a joy to drive; I still find it hard to believe it's nearly 25 years old. I'm selling it so that I can finish the construction of my garage and start the restoration on my Triumph TR6. Happy Bidding!!
