Description:

An Exceptional 1993 Mazda MX-6 ... I've owned this car since new.
The last buyer backed out because he saw the valve cover looks like it's leaking a bit. YOU CAN'T EXPECT TO BUY A NICE RUNNING CAR FOR 1, 500 BUCKS AND NOT EXPECT TO HAVE TO CONTINUE MAINTENANCE !! This car is still running nicely and is ready to go.
Engine is the 4 cylinder, 16 valve DOHC with a 5 speed manual transmission. The car has cloth seats, power moon-roof, power windows, cruise control, and AC ... New Satellite Radio/CD player with Bluetooth, and new paint job and tires in April 2012. The paint color is called Vivid Red. The original color was a red/maroon color. (see inside hood and door jam photos)
I hadn't seen the vehicle report that eBay provided before. There are 2 open recalls that haven't been done yet. The latest one about the ignition switch can't be done until Mazda comes up with a new part. Whoever owns the car at that time, will still get a free repair by your nearest Mazda dealer. The 2002 recall for the front springs appears to have been done in 9/30/05 with regular maintenance (see spreadsheet), and cost me $ 1, 144.76 !! (I wonder if Mazda will repay me for that ?)
I have most all the repair receipts for the last 22 years (including the one for the front springs). Check out the spreadsheet in one of the photos. The car has always run well, and still does. It's quick with the 5 speed transmission, and is good on gas. (about 25 mpg.)
Recent repairs and upgrades for the last 5 years include: (see photos)
10/09 Replace exhaust from converter back,
1/12 New Battery
4/12 New Sony XM Sirius AM FM, CD with new power antenna
4/12 Maaco paint job and some minor body work
9/12 Distributor, R&R rear brakes
4/13 Front axle replaced
5/13 Brake line replacements
9/14 AC converted from old R 12 to modern R 135
1/15 New tires, and new rear struts
6/16 New compressor for AC
12/10 Replace clutch slave cylinder and bleed brakes.
The front seats in this car are some of the most comfortable seats I have had in any of the cars I've owned. The front drivers seat does show wear with the cloth worn away in spots. (see photo)
There are a few cigarette burn spots here and there, the spring in the ashtray is broken, but it still works. The car includes spare tire and jack in trunk.
The 2 front mudflaps that were shown in the trunk on the previous listing, are being sold separately.
The paint is in very good condition, although there are a couple of small nicks on the front.
I was driving the car right up until I bought a new Honda Civic at the end of Oct. 2015 and moved the plates to that car. So I can't drive it too far, but if you want a test drive, we'll pop the plates back on for a quick drive. I start it up and drive up and down the private road we're on every 2 weeks or so.
Please e-mail with questions or requests for additional photos. Payment must be CASH, Paypal, or Certified check.
A very nice little car ready to go down the road ... Thanks for looking !!
