This 1985 Mazda Rx-7 in brilliant black is truly one-of-a-kind. With a build date of 6/85 it is one of the last 1st generation cars ever produced. This RX-7 is a survivor. It is completely factory original as evidenced by:

Incredible. A 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL with ALL of its original equipment that is fully functioning. The car has recently been evaluated mechanically by an authorized Mazda Service Center in which no major issues were found. It has also been examined by a professional in the auto paint and body field who has verified that the Mazda Brilliant Black paint is original and no paint work has ever been done to the car. The interior is impeccable with no tears or stains and still smells new. The original floor mats are included with this sale. The rubber weather stripping is as pliable as the day it was installed. The spare tire and jack have been undisturbed for 30 years!
I could go on and on because the car is that amazing and commands the attention it gets. The engine compartment is as clean as new. The car was rust-proofed by Ziebart and the coating remains clearly evident. Documented 22, 500 mile factory service performed in 1987, with just 1070 miles on the odometer! Also, an oil change from 1991, with mileage 2, 300! This sale includes both original keys, owners manual, Mazda map book, Mazda maintenance course, Original sales and accessories brochures and technical data.

***I am getting much feedback on my listing. Thank you. I would like to answer some of the most frequent questions in my ad to eliminate any confusion. YES: the car is 100% original and nothing has been altered. YES: EVERYTHING on the car functions as it did in 1985. YES: the mileage is accurate verifiable not only by the condition of the car, but through DMV records. NO: the car has NEVER been in storage or allowed to set idle. Granted with 7, 710 miles it has not been driven much during its life, but it has never been tossed in the garage and forgotten either. Allowing a vehicle to just set is one of the worst things for it. It has been very sparingly driven and certainly allowed to idle at operating temperature its entire life. It has been garaged properly. Essentially, the buyer of this RX-7 is getting a 30 year old NEW car, so to speak. It has also been suggested that my asking price is too high based on book values. There is no book value for a one-of-a-kind vehicle! How many 1st generation RX-7s are out there with less than 10K miles and the factory original tires? The answer is most likely: NONE! Of course, I am open to offers. Please keep in mind the uniqueness of what you are buying. Will there ever be another opportunity to own a 1st generation Mazda RX-7 like this?
