I have for auction an all original 1979 Mazda RX-7. 30238 original miles. runs and drives great! It had been sitting for a bit until i cleaned it up, did a tune up, and threw some fresh gas in it. Starts right up and drives flawlessly. transmission is tight and so is the clutch.
Exterior:Some of the clearcoat has some fading on it, a good buff will fix that, but VERY straight body. The hood has a 3 chip on it, but not rusted. All glass is in good shape, the undercarriage has no rust and is in great shape. Tires are in excellent shape, no weathering, no cracking, and at about half to 3/4 tread left.
Interior:Overall an 8/10... seats are in pretty good shape, there are two (2) small rips in the driver seat, currently the seats have seat covers on them. the carpet has no tears in it and is in great shape. The dash pad has one crack in it which is repairable, but the overall condition is pretty good. Has the original radio in it and original speakers (everything in working order). The shift boot has some weathering on it but not terrible. Door panels are in excellent shape with no tears, marks, or fading.
Drivetrain:Engine is in excellent shape, runs and drives really smooth. carb has been cleaned and all the original evap/egr/secondary air pump components are installed and in working order. The v-belt driven air pump pulley has a wobble to it, but doesnt affect the running condition at all. As with most rotary engines, it has a slight backfire every once in a while, but not terrible.This is the non-turbo model, however, if youre looking at this vehicle and know about these... the more air and fuel you can throw at it the more power you can get out of them.This is an all original car with low miles in great shape!
