Selling my mercedes 190E 16V
This is a very rare car, and as much as I love it I have to
sell it. Wanted to do a complete restoration on it when I bought it, but the
car now been sitting for few years now. And I have no time to spare for it. Its
a very unique and beautiful car but will require some work to be done to it.
The title is clean but it did had some accident in the distant past, on the ebay had to change to rebuilt title since ebay having issues with accident in the past. The engine
runs but will need valve adjustment and might need fuel injection checked. I am willing to drive the car to a buyer for a final sale, but that would
be last reserve option, and should not be farther than 3-4 hours away from zip 22801 for additional compensation and will require coordination with my available time. Otherwise buyer is responsible for pickup. Payment in cash only. Buyer accepts purchase as is with no returns. Any concerns should be addressed prior purchase.
CONDITION:
Car does have cosmetic defects that you can see in the
pictures, the roof's paint has faded out.
There are some dents on both rear quarter panels. Spoiler
has typical bubble on the left side. Some other paint defects on the left front
door and fender. The interior also has few issues, the cracked dash board was
covered with a plastic cover by previous owner. Front passenger seat has one
reparable torn, but back rest is all in good condition. The driver seat has two
more dramatic torn and crack but back rest also in good condition. The rear
seat is very very excellent condition and very soft, including back rest, but
on top of the back rest in the middle, leather has slightly dried and now
pulling the thread apart. In the engine picture, you can see that the valve cover badges are missing, I have both badges and the spark plug cover. In the interior picture, you can see three gauges missing on the console panel, I have those gauges also.
PARTS:
Coil, spark plug wires and distributor cap, timing chain and
tensioner have 30K
Water pump almost new, has about 4k on it.
Still has original hydraulic rear suspension, that I have
just resealed.
Front shocks are also new have about 2K on them.
Clutch master cylinder has about 15K, and still have slave
in hand but haven't changed it, which leaks.
Clutch it self I believe was never changed.
Fuel Pump and Filter has about 40K,
Front strut mounts have about 40K
Rear control arm to knuckle bushings have 15K on them.
Tie rods have 30K on them.
Driver side rear wheel bearing has about 20K, but remaining
might need to be checked.
Front disk brakes have about 20K
Rear front sub frame bushings have about 5K on them.
Transmission (manual) shifts good, but I believe was never
serviced.
Hydraulic pump seals were changed and doesn't leak, except
seeps a little at pressure line connection.
Windows work fine,
Seats were working, before I put the car away, but now they
don't respond.
