Offered for sale is a beautiful W111 factory convertible. This car started off its life in Germany by a US sailor who then imported the car into the US in the late 60's. This is a Euro Cabriolet, which has the European headlamps, which in my opinion is much prettier than the US version. The car is an automatic. Besides the shape of the headlights, there is no other difference. The car is in its original Ivory color with a beautiful chocolate interior. I purchased the car from Goodman Reed in Santa Barbara in 2013. The leather is in immaculate original condition. I replaced the carpet, front interior panels and put in a brand new top and tonneau cover. The wood is in beautiful condition and the car features it's original Becker Radio. I put in an amp and a iPod connector as well as new speakers discreetly. The paint is in good condtion with a few small imperfections. The car is very mechanically sound and drives like a dream. Every single gage in the car works perfectly. I even have original suitcases that came with the car. I urge you to get the car inspected. The car has been regularly serviced by German Motor Car Service in Santa Monica that specializes in vintage Mercedes restoration. I have changed the ignition to Electronic, put in a new master cylinder, replaced all of the belts and brake lines. I wouldn't hesitate to take this car on a long road trip.
