Show car, proudly shown at local car shows and a great head turner on the road.Drives solid and strong. Driven regularly with no problems.
Runs great, no smoke, no leaks.
Have had it for 3 years, bought it from a collector gentleman from South Carolina.
I Have cared for it and loved every moment since, driving it to local car shows, where it has gathered many glances and admiration.
I have mostly done aesthetics, engine cleaning and minor mechanics, as very little was needed mechanically.
- NEW exhaust pipe and muffler (year and model correct)- NEW shift railing- RESTORED seats- NEW high quality German vinyl upholstery. - AC unit present, never used.- recent FULL and extensive maintenance at local certified mechanic specializing in older Mercedes cars
As can be seen, this car is in an awesome shape. It is a real head turner. it is a 43 year old car with some details, none of which are critical nor urgent.
Odometer reads 84, 695 miles. This may vary by the time of delivery as expected due to test drives. Based on the shape of the engine and parts, and although we can not prove it, my mechanic and I believe it should actually be 184k miles.
Paint. From 6 foot away, paint is flawless, but there is a crack on the right front quarter. It has minor chips, none major nor noticeable.Interiors. Seats have been redone in vinyl. Wood trim is all complete and correct. Power windows. all working. The two front ones need a little help to get all the way up. Window seals. Needs new seals on most windows. More noticeable in back, where it was filled (prior owner or even before) with sealant. Floor panels. Has a small crack on floor panel, no more than 8 in in length and not even 1 in width. Should be an easy fix.All outside lights work.Inside (courtesy) lights won't work. Wiring and light bulbs there, but haven't spent the time in troubleshooting them to get them to work. Engine compartment is super clean and has new hood pad.
It is a very nice car. It will nee to be painted to be perfect. It was evidently repainted some time ago and it was not a very good job. Color is the original one or very close to, according to engine compartment code plaque.
I will do my best to answer any questions. Bid with confidence for this classic car that continues to grow in value and appreciation from clubs around the world.
I will INCLUDE a car cover that was fit for this car.
