1969 Mercedes Benz 280SE Coupe. This high grille coupe recently went through an extensive restoration totalling over $30k.
The work included a complete overhaul of the engine, suspension, brakes, transmission, rubber seals, interior and exterior. The car was completely stripped (except engine) and repainted. The bumpers were also re-chromed. The interior is all leather and as you can see from the photos the walnut wood (courtesy of Madera Concepts) is absolutely fantastic and cost $3, 000 alone. A powerful new AC system was also installed, along with auxilliary fan and the points were converted. Many things were replaced including the hoses, lines, filters, gaskets as well as the alternator, fuel pump, shocks, muffler and pipes, injectors and radiator. The gas tank was also removed and cleaned and the tires are also new. Everything works on the car with the exception of the clock.
