I have owned this car for over ten years and have enjoyed driving it on perfect weather days. It has been kept in an enclosed garage under a dust cover ever since I have owned it. I drive it seldom, as a matter of fact the mechanic that did a tune up recently told me the biggest issue with this car was my lack of driving it on a regular basis, as a high perfomace engine needs to be driven regularly. This car had a cosmetic restoration before I purchased it, new interior, top, paint, tires, and new mercedes chrome wheels. The radio is an after market radio that works great. The only flaws in the paint are a couple of small scratches where the hard top had been put on from time to time, however the soft top covers this area almost completly, this is a very small scratched area. Also the pain on the right rear fender has a small imprefedction on it , otherwise the paint is excellent, I just wanted to be clear on the condition of the car. There is a small ding in the chorme wheel well trim cover on the right reat, but again , not a big issue in the apperance. Mechanically, I replace the A/C compressor about 4 years ago, and have not driven it more than 500 miles since that was done, but recently when I drove it, the A/C was not blowing cold as it had been, so I suspect maybe some of the freon has seeped out somewhere. Compressor seems to be working fine, just not blowing ice cold, again probably from lack of driving. There is a very slight oil drip that does not show up until I park it in my garage, after is sits overnght after driving. This is truly a great looking car, and a ball to drive, and you get a lot of thumbs up while on the road. $ 1, 000 Deposit required within 24 housrs after winning bid, and full payment due within 3 days after winning bid. “This is a beautiful car. I have had it for over 10 years and drive it very little, only on perfect days. It underwent a cosmetic restoration before I purchased it, and I have done minor things to it over the years, no mechanical issues whatsoever. I replaced the A/C compressor, and had a tune up recently, but mechanically it is very sound. New interior, paint, top, tires and chrome wheels was part of the restoration. It has both a new soft top and the factory hard top as well. Paint is really good, with deep shine, but two small places show minor flaws, too minor to take a picture of, but I just wanted to state that the paint is not perfect. Overall it is a great driver, and get a lot of looks and thumbs up on the road. I have other show cars, and I would not consider it a show car, even though I have several trophys from various show I have entered it in. The Mercedes shop that did the tuneup said the biggest issue was the lack of me driving it regulary.Great car, good luck biding.” |
