I recently bought this car and just titled it last week. The rear tire blew out and went in a ditch, damaging the whole passenger side and especially the rear passenger side. The motor and trans are good, I had previously put some new parts into it within the last month including:
- New Battery
- New Alternator
- ECU Repaired
- New Front Flex Disc
- New Oil Separator & EGR Hoses
- New Windshield Wiper Motor
- Repaired Shift Selector & Replaced Shifter Linkage Bushing
- New Front Brake Pads
The interior is in great condition as far as the seats, door panels and dash are concerned. All power seats are functional as are all windows. The motor runs good and strong, the trans doesn't slip or have any problems. With traction control off, this car chirps second gear like nothing. I had been going trhough the car to get it in perfect condition before this happened, and there are no major mechanical issues. Supecharger functions perfectly. Has a minor oil leak from somewhere, I hadn't got to that yet but it's nothing serious. The suspension parts are rather worn, but they're salvagable if needed, it's mostly bushings that are bad. Front control arms are good, hubs seem good, rims are in good shape with no major dents & dings. All glass is good, power windows motors all work.
This car is for sale to someone who needs it FOR PARTS, it has heavy damage and I assure you it is not worth fixing, even if you do auto-body. It took a very hard hit and the whole back is twisted. The spare trans, motor, supercharger, radiator, etc. make it well worth the buy for anyone with a '99 or W202 Kompressor. It runs and drives but a trailer is probably needed for pickup because it has no rear tail/brake light.
