To find turbo diesels is not easy, since there were no turbo diesels G-class Mercedes in the 80ies, so they were always added, or an engine swap was performed.
This turbo diesel 300GD is in a fair condition, and by that I mean that it has wear and tear, and it does have some welding work, nothing major, and all relatively easy and straight forward, but off course you can also drive it as is ! When you have welding skills, it's an easy task and you will end up with a very desirable car !
The engine runs very smooth, and you certainly feel the turbo kicking in ! ... there is way more power than a normal 300.! This particular engine is an Original Mercedes-Benz crate engine, and the tag is still in it's place.
The 5-speed gearbox shifts smooth and was recently completely overhould, and it has lockers in front and rear.
All the electronics work as it should, the frame is in a very good condition, and the car certainly has experience in long distance traveling !
