Hello all!
I purchased this car a few months back on Ebay to be used as a daily driver for my business in and around Washington, DC. Well, short story is the seller left out some details which do not make this a car I want to stick with.
The good – Runs well, changed the alternator (Kept pulley from the an old one and changed belt, no more breaking belt), New tires, under 300 miles on them. Top is new, installed improperly though by seller. Lights flip up properly. I will include the shop manual and cup holder purchased along with updating wire harness to use with newer radios.
The bad – Since top wasn’t put on correctly, top leaks in pouring rain. Estimate I got, if it can be corrected was $350-$400, or, $700 to install new. A/C not working, have not looked into issue. Seats have gotten wet. Small dent in front end, passenger side at bumper. Airbag light flashes 5 times, can’t find what the code is, but the vehicle has passed Maryland inspection & emissions in August 2015. I bought another sending unit, not installed.
I’m in to the car for $2900 and with the extras I need, it isn’t worth it for me to go any further. I can part it out and make more, just not worth the effort. My loss is your gain. Thanks for looking!
