This is a 1963 Mercury comet gasser project
Body is clean and rust free except for surface patina type rust that could be sanded clean in 10 minutes or clear coated over. Car has a 1984 351 Ho Windsor motor, was a strong running motor when pulled from previous car. Car comes with all original chrome in good shape, two racing seats, and many more small parts. Car has been lightened by drilling holes is non-structure areas of the car, this was a 60's trick to lesson the weight for speed. All glass, frame, dash and headliner are in good condition. Comets are the same platform as ford falcons and speedway motors sells a complete straight axle setup for it. This is a very solid straight car and a fairly east project.
The car has a fuel cell and battery box moved to the trunk, it also comes with a straight axle that came with the car when I got it. Also has sunpro oil, temp, volt and vac gauges.
JUST INSTALLED BRAND NEW, pilot bearing, flywheel, pressure plate, disc, throw out bearing and folk. No miles on any of these parts. Also installed clutch pedal and z-bar.
Work that has to be completed, install headers, carb and gas linkage and other normal jobs like running engine wires etc.. car does not have a radiator, starter or drive shaft.
Please ask all questions you may have or feel free to come see it as I am selling it as is, where is I am willing to hold it for two weeks or so if you need to get a transporter, but car must be paid in full by bank check within 48 hours of auctions end.
