Up for sale is a very solid 66 Mercury Comet, the car has all of its original paint and interior with an acceptable level of patina inside and out. The paint has some spots of checking, cracking, and wear as does the interior. It originally came from Oklahoma and I have a clear Wisconsin title in my name. The mileage is likely to be 127, 000 instead of the 27, 000 that shows on the odometer. There has been some recent mechanical improvements so the car could be driven safely like front brake shoes and wheel cylinders, new shocks at all four corners, new upper ball joints, fuel pump, battery, tune up, and rear pinion seal. The rear main seal has a leak, (as many cars of this vintage do) the Edelbrock carb could use a rebuild, a hand choke should be added to aid in cold starting, and some rust repair is needed in the trunk (pictured) Overall this is a straight up, excellent car to restore! The floors, frame, and torque boxes are all very solid as well. Also included with the car is the hard to find Cyclone hood.
