This is a 1962 Mercury Comet S-22 2 door sedan with the original 170 inline 6 and 3 speed on the column transmission. This car is optioned with sport S-22 package with bucket seats and console, and factory add-on air conditioning. Still has the Original Ocean Turquoise patina paint and mostly original interior.
Its licensed and inspected, this is my only car and it's a great daily driver, I drive it on average 200 miles a week. The heater works great, it does not overheat, stays at 180 all day. All new suspension from front to back. New ball joints, control arms, sway bar links, bushings, front shocks. New rear leaf springs, shackles, bushings, air shocks fully ride height adjustable, and its lowered 3 inches. Everything works, lights, horn, wipers, etc. . has good tires. This car is a true survivor and has no rust underneath, runs and drives great and would be the perfect vehicle to do a V8 swap, LS1 swap, hotrod, ratrod, or restore back to original.
Of course a car of this vintage has some issues: the A/C works but it's not cold, the interior needs new carpet and driver door panel, the previous owner painted the right front fender otherwise the rest of the paint is original, the oil pressure sending unit has a small leak, not enough to have to add oil but it leaks. The only reason I'm selling it is because I need a truck. I have a clear Texas title in my name.
