for sale

Description:

1972 Mercury Cougar Q Code 351 Cleveland Cobra jet 4V 4 bolt main 266 Horse Power, C6 Trans Factory High Stall Converter, 3.25 9 inch open rear end with staggered rear shocks. Car has factory Power disk Brakes, Power Steering, Factory AC(Compessor Missing), Console. It has original paint, so at least you can see what your getting. The Cougar needs complete restoration. The 351 CJ starts good and seem to run strong, it has a Edelbrock Aluminum 4V intake and original 4v exhaust manifolds. The car currently has a motocraft 2 barrel carb on it with a adapter plate. (Just to get it running) It also has a new stater, new fuel pump, all new brakes, (including new rotors, calipers, wheel cylinders, turned drums, rubber brake lines) and wheel bearings. Brake still need bled. The car will move but I think the Transmission needs rebuilt. The body overall is not that bad. It needs a patch on the roof, a new trunk pan, a new trunk lid and that about covers the rust. Floors, quarters and structural parts are solid. The Interior needs complete restoration but is complete minus the dash pad. Car needs a lot of work but the Q code cougars are super rare. Only 500 Q codes built with the C6 automatic transmission according to the Marti Report. Paypal deposit of 250.00 rest in cash when picked up. Have a Clean title in my name, the marti report, and warranty data plate.
