1973 Mercury Cougar

Mercury Cougar (1973)
for sale

Price: US $500.00

Description:

Up for bid, an original 1973 Mercury Cougar Convertible. The vehicle has 44, 000 original miles and has been in storage since 2006. The car was recently taken out of storage, inspected, cleaned and placed on the road. The engine is all original and is very strong as well as the automatic transmission which shifts smoothly. It runs, drives, and stops nicely and tracks straight. There are no known accidents. The interior is all original so the front seats need reupholstering. The good thing is that what's needed is cosmetic in nature. The canvas for the convertible top needs replacement and has been patched to avoid any leaks into the interior. Floors, trunk and doors quarter panels are also solid. The top is currently manual and goes up and down easily however, there is a stock factory electric motor for the top in a box in the trunk that can be installed. The driver's side fender has a dent as well as the lower edge of the driver's side door. The vehicle is being sold as is, where is. There are no warranties written, expressed or implied.
These vehicles are becoming increasingly rare and valuable and this car is an excellent platform for restoration as it doesn't have any mechanical issues or problems. This convertible is a great candidate for a father, son/daughter project or classic car enthusiast to own and enjoy.
Please only buyers with funds readily availabe need bid. Good luck, bid to win!
