1968 Mercury Cougar in Excellent Condition. This is a very early 1968 build- hence it is one of only a few 1968's produced with the 289- not the 302 which is said to come standard in 68 and beyond.
This car is a true survivor- as it has been stored in heated garages for all of it's life.
Car has ORIGINAL paint and interior- as well as only a select few updates / upgrades.

Brand new Cragar 14 Chrome wheels
New BFG Comp TA tires- about 5000 miles on them
New Power Brake booster- Bendix OEM replacement.
New brake proportioning valve and new OEM master cylinder
Custom WOOD knife handle steering wheel and column adapter (I also have the original wheel)
Retro Sound Bluetooth FM Radio
Custom speaker kick panels with Alpine 6 1/2 speakers
New In-dash 9x7 speaker
Headlights have been updated with the Motorized light bucket kit- no more vacuum operation
Headlights also have the Direct power feed Relay kit so that they are brighter/ more powerful
Brand new Interstate Battery
Instrument cluster has all LED bulbs now- much brighter
Clock has been converted to in -dash Tachometer!
LED turn signal relay kit- so all flashers operate properly
Tail light sequencers function properly... Left to Right, Right to Left
Car has had most of the window seals replaced simply due to aging
Engine:
Rebuilt all original - except new Mahle piston rings and original rocker arms have been replaced with Comp Roller Rockers
New Holley 600 4 barrel carb.
Engine was line-honed. no bored
Comp Cam with small lobe
New Flowmaster exhaust with H pipe
New Long tube headers
New electronics in distributor
Plugs and wires
New Gas tank and sending unit
Shocks, springs and bushings have been replaced
New 1 Shelby style front sway bar (I have the original as well)
Shelby shock tower brace
