This fine automobile has been continued to be taken care of [as in garage kept]. I believe I'm the third, perhaps fourth owner. The vehicle has no rust, It has 86k on the clock. I was introduced to a Merc (his forte) 40+ experience as a Car mechanic, ..so I don't know him other than I asked to take total control of the vehicle up for a couple of weeks, ..i.e. Take it out, run it hard and check her from head to toe, ..so to speak, ..he did and his report was that the auto was unbelievably sound for a non-restored vehicle and in truly great shape, .he'll back these words with credentials It has a 351 Cleveland V8 engine. Runs on regular gas. I put on new tires , a new convertible roof and a NEW Brake System. As mentioned, the vehicle has NOT BEEN RESTORED., , , for 42+ years she looks quite the Cats Meow, ...in a Cougar vernacular! Great rig for down the shore, ..and I'm not making this up, ...people congregate around this car, as they fall in love with it, ..some for the memories, ..ladies think its SEXY, ..and any guy who knows this car, know its the last of the PONY CARS, ..AND BESIDES THEY ONlY MADE 1500 CONVERTIBLE COUGARS THAT YEAR.
