About the Grand Marquis: For a long time, the Mercury Grand Marquis was to illustrate Whether it ain't broke, don't repair it.Inch The large Mercury, a rather more inticate twin from the Ford Crown Victoria, showed old-school automotive design using its stout but heavy body-on-frame construction, solid rear axle and softly updated suspension calibrations. The Marquis received a number of updates through the years. The greatest changes happened for '03, once the Grand Marquis received an exciting-new chassis having a remodeled front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering, which enhanced crash performance and handling.
