2005 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Premium with just 77, 300 miles!
I am selling this car for a 96 year old lady that recently passed away. She was fairly well off financially and the car appears as if it was detailed and maintained well since new. It is extremely clean and runs well.
This vehicle comes equipped with the 4.6 liter V-8 motor, automatic transmission with rear wheel drive, dual power seats, power windows, power locks and mirrors, tilt wheel, factory CD stereo, cruise control, automatic climate control, keyless entry and 16 alloys with deep tread 225/60/16 Michelin Symmetry radials!
I am a part time race car mechanic and I am disclosing all issues that I know of regarding this car.
Exterior
The Powder Blue metallic paint is in near perfect condition. The body is extremely straight with original paint. The car has a couple of tiny scuff marks on two of the doors and the rear bumpers have some scuffs on each corner (see images). Otherwise the paint is spectacular considering this cars age.
This is the cleanest best paint I have ever seen on a 70, 000 mile car. It is so shiny and straight that the vehicle almost looks brand new. The bottom of the car is totally rust free and in pristine condition.
Interior
The interior is very clean with no cracks on the dash or steering wheel. This Mercury even smells good. It has never been smoked in. The gray seats are in very good condition. They are not ripped or dried out. They have the usual leather type cracking but are in great shape and have never been dyed. The rear seat has a deep scratch in the middle seat panel (see image). All seat controls work fine. The door panels are perfect and the dash is too.
The carpeting has been recently shampooed and is in very good shape. The car includes a set of universal car mats that are also in good shape but do not fit perfectly (universal). The headliner and visors are super clean and recently shampooed.
The passenger door needs repair. The locking button does not go up and down with the switch like the other 3 doors do. You have to open the passenger door manually. The solenoid makes noise like it is working so my guess is the metal wire needs to be reattached to the door button (maybe $75 to repair). There is nothing else in need of repair.
Engine
The V8 original engine runs well and there are no check engine lights. The engine appears to be well maintained. I recently drove it to Daytona (500 miles total) and averaged 80 - 90 MPH the entire way. The vehicle got 22.5 MPH. I am certain it would have been higher had i traveled at 70 MPH. The car didn’t burn any excessive oil and it does not appear to leak.
The tires are Michelin and I estimate they are only about 30% worn. The sidewalls are perfectly clean with no curb rash.
Fly into Fort Lauderdale for this rust free mint car and drive it home. It is that nice!
