Up for auction out of a personal collection is this 1969 Mercury Marauder 2-Door Hardtop Coupe.
On August 28, 1968 Captain Charles D. Kirkpatrick placed an order through Ford Military Sales for a 1969 Mercury Marauder 2 Door Hardtop and placed a deposit of $250 through the Chase Manhattan Bank of Saigon (see picture of yellow receipt #2626 with purchase agreement.
The Purchase Agreement between Captain Charles D. Kirkpatrick and Ford Military Sales dated August 28, 1968 with all options purchased can be viewed in picture attached. Total Cash Price & Charges Delivered to Purchaser - $3, 781.58.
This 1969 Mercury Marauder, order #MSC/8/68/202 - Kirkpatrick through Ford Military Sales C/O Philippine Regional Military Exchange was acknowledged on September 9, 1968 to Captain Charles D. Kirkpatrick (see picture of Ford Motor Company Overseas Distribution Operation documentation).
On September 11, 1968 Captain Charles D. Kirkpatrick confirmed his order through a TELEGRAM with the Ford Military Sales and requested the Trim Code package to include All Vinyl Bench Seat With Deluxe Trim At Added Cost. (see picture of Telegram with Ford Military Sales documentation).
The original Owner's Manual, Helpful Hints for a SAFER RIDE, and Owner's Manual, Owner card and Warranty Facts Booklet envelope for Charles D. Kirkpatrick are included (see pictures of these items).
The original window sticker Lincoln Mercury Leads The Way In 1969 is also included (see picture).

| “This 1969 Mercury Marauder is in very good condition. There are no rust issues. The interior is in good condition. It is in good running condition. The paint is a 20 footer - buyer may want to repaint due to paint crazing effects from a repaint years ago. This car was recently tuned up in May 2015. The vinyl top appears to be original and in good condition; but could be replaced for perfection. The original air conditioner will need recharged. The original radio comes on, but the original speakers will need replaced. This 1969 Mercury Marauder has not been driven long distances; only occasionally locally. Please review all the pictures attached. Questions welcomed. This Mercury Marauder and other cars in collection can be scheduled for viewing upon request.” |
