1973 Mercury Montego Brougham. This is a born and raised Southern California car all its life. It is absolutely rust free! It has only been in Michigan about a month. We cant get rust free cars like this here! Car is sun beaten, but that sure beats rust! The car has been repainted before, but even now its starting to peel in places. The vinyl top is dry rotted and needs to be taken off or replaced. There isn't any bubbling though going on underneath it, its still all metal! It has a 351 Cleveland 2bbl with a C4 automatic trans and a 9 rear end with 2:75 gears. The car runs and drives great! The interior needs some love. Headliner is drooping, seats have some tears, carpet should be replaced, dash pad has a cover on it. Car has AC, power steering power disc brakes, power windows, AM/FM radio(doesn't work, also has a CD player in the trunk), Rim Blow steering wheel(horn doesn't work). Speedometer not working either. Heater/AC fan motor noisy when you first turn it on, but does get quiet after running awhile. Passenger side lower front fender is rolled up probably from a blowout and lower rocker molding missing. I had my buddy who is a body man look at the fender and he said it was very fixable, and told me not to replace it. There are a couple of small dents in the car but really hard to see. Is the car perfect? Of course not, its 43 years old! I just like to be upfront and honest with the good and bad. This car is something you can drive while you work on it. Hell! It's hard enough to find a good driver today at this price, let alone a cool classic crusier! Car is available for inspection, and I highly recommend it! I have sold cars on ebay before and I just want to be honest with my description.
