You are bidding on a 1950 Mercury, chopped 5 inches, frame has been C-notched, independent front suspension with power rack n pinion, front disk brakes, and A/C. we are the shop that has done all the work but the top chop. so we have many pics of all the work we have done if you would like to see them, also the pics will be included in the sale of the car. We are selling the car for our client due to happenings in his life. we got this car in our shop (Mods for Rods inc.) about 2 years ago, the top was chopped at another shop before we started on it. the chop was done good chopping a top is an art and every arts has his own way of doing it. Myself would of left the drip rail on and we layout the back 49 glass different, but again we all have our own flavor.what we did do is to remove all the front suspension and added our independent front A arms, our cross member and power rack, and disk brakes. also at this time we made and installed side motor mounts.the rear is a chevy 10 bolt that was in the car and the customer wanted to keep it, so we did. we C notched the rear of the frame about 8 inches, the customer wanted the frame to lay on the ground in position number 1. At this point we fabricated the 4 bar system and installed it on to the rear end and frame of the car, at full bag to full drop the pinion angle only changed 1.3 degree (at 10 inch travel) .Next we re-built the floor to add a 10 in tunnel and to move the floor under the seat up 5 inches. At that point we sound deadand the whole floor, from package tray to top of fire wall on the inside of floor. (we use a product called second skin, a lot like dynamat but better) The air ride system we used is one of the best, its E Level by Accuair, it was about 8K. for the whole system, twin pumps, valve block, tank, two front bag sytem, and two rear bag system, computor, wiring, hand held controller and fittings. Im not an air ride guy, but this system really works well and rides great, not all bouncey like others i've been in.A couple thing the car needs to be finished is to the intireor the back seat need to be re-covered due to cutting it to fit onto the floor now with the taller tunnel, and carpet. And the other is the gauges and such, some work some don't, again he ran out of money to finish final things. As far as the rest of the car, it runs great and drives great and the a/c is good and cold. If you have any other questions feel free to e-amil or call me @480-510-8164 Thanks
