Hello, up for sale is a very rare 1965 Mercury Meteor or Monterey with 65, 000 original miles. This Mercury was built in Canada so it's called a Meteor. .I'm selling this Mercury for a friend of mine, so all questions you should call him at 810-252-9963, his name is Gaeton.
The history on this car is that it was bought by Carol Apel in 1965 in Hollywood Florida..In the mid seventies, Carol stopped driving the car because she was losing her eye sight..In July of 1978, her driving privileges were suspended by Florida due to her eye sight. She wanted Walter A. Smith{her nephew} to have the car and in 1979 transferred the car to Walter..He drove the car from Florida to his home in Dearborn, Michigan..Walter drove the car home and never drove it again, other then starting it once a month..So it sat in his garage until he past and his family sold it to my friend in 2013..At the time of purchase it was taken off the jacks, the tires were inflated and it rolled from the garage to a trailer.. At the time the car had 64, 000 miles on it.
After he purchased the car he invested over $4, 000 in repairs to get this car back on the road..all work was done by J & B Customs Classics, LLC..now it drives like a dream...he's put over 1, 000 miles on it, cruising to car shows or just taking it for a Sunday drive.
