1997 Mercury Mountaineer
Transmission is not good. Cranks but sometimes does not pull. When I bought the truck, the mechanic said the Over Drive linkage had something wrong with it and that I should drive it with the overdrive turned off. Well it worked just like that for 8 years. Then one day I could not turn the over drive off. I pushed the button and nothing happened. Not long after, maybe a week or so, I cranked it up to leave one morning but it did not pull. I've moved it around the yard a few times since but it only pulls sometimes and I would not trust it in the road without work.
Heat works but no AC. Radio works fine but no cassette or cd. Leather seats. The driver seat has some wear. And goes forward and back but the lumbar support doesn't work. Front windows do not work but middle ones do. The back right window was replaced and did not seal good so it will leak every now and then. The sunroof leaks. The head liner looks awful. The steering wheel buttons are worn off. The battery is fairly new but one of the cables is corroded. Odometer stopped in October 2014 at 190, 499. I've only driven to town and back for work so I've put about 12, 000 since then. Needs a good vacuuming to remove the bits of hay and corn.
Middle seats fold up. Front right part under the bumper is cracked. Back bumper is tilted up some from pulling someone out of a ditch.
