SUPER NICE AND VERY RARE MERCURY 1939 COUPE
This is a chance to own one of the Rarest of ALL Mercury’s, and she is a BEAUTY!! Originally a southern car out of Lexington, Kentucky, she is a great car to look at and study. DRIVE and take to any show and be the only one there!! She is like driving a huge MAGNET as she demands a huge crowd no matter where you are!! Actually if you do not like people and talking about this and other classic cars at any given time DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!! No joke as she is gorgeous and people just love her.
Her body is Laser straight and her paint is very shiny and smooth!! She is of course ALL STEEL with NO fiberglass fenders or running boards! Her Stainless and Chrome are SUPERB!! She has new Weather Stripping and Door and Trunk rubbers, to include hood rubbers etc. Her Interior is really fantastic And As NEW!!
Even it’s original Radio powers up and it’s Wipers work as they should!! She has a Great Running Original very nicely DETAILED Flathead V8 and smooth shifting 3 Speed on the Floor. This is the only year within the early ford V8 Mercury that the Merc had a 3 speed on the Floor!! In 40 they went to a 3 on the Tree and had a completely different Dash, Different taillights, only Mercury on the hood sides instead of Mercury Eight as the 40 and beyond had. So the 39 is a very Special year for Mercs, the FIRST YEAR of all Mercurys, and with many one off designs!! AS A RULE IN COLLECTOR CARS THE FIRST YEAR OF A MARK AND LAST YEAR ARE THE MOST COLLECTABLE OF ALL!!! This is not a 41 Ford 4 door sedan, so please BID ACCORDINGLY!! THANKS!!
