For sale is a Numbers Matching 1953 Mercury 2dr Base coupe w/ 255 Flathead v8 w/ Merc-O-matic auto trans.

Engine is in good shape and was running last year before the previous owner started to restore it.Engine still moves freely.
Engine is 255 flathead v8 original 6v system w/ 2bbl holley teapot carb.Has newer wires/ plus cap/ rotor.Car has all new brake lines in the front and back installed by previous owner. Also comes w/ a new Brake Master Cylinder still in the box.
Has good useable tires all the way around w/ no dryrot, cracking or hardspots( Front tires were just recently mounted and balanced).All the glass is good w/ the exception of the passenger window.(see pics) all chrome trim is present, but alot of it is dinged and bent(please see pics)
Frame/ suspension and body mounts are solid and in good condition. the trunk pan is in excellent shape as well as the spare tire well( only one hole the size of a quarter in the trunk pan .
The floors are solid but do have numerous holes that need patched or pans replaced at buyers discretion. The interior is complete and the seat frames/tracks and springs are in great shape.all upholstery and seat cushions need to be completely replaced(see pics).
The lower fenders, front and rear are rusted through and need replaced.All doors/ skins are straight and in good shape as well as all areas around the glass and hinges(see pics)
Car was originally blue as seen on the floors in the pics, but has a roller paintjob on it.
Clean and clear Title
Car DOES NOT run and or drive at the moment but is a great start to a restoration/ hotrod/ ratrod
