Designed & built by legendary Bo Huff.
Ever since Custom cars have become a feature at the Pebble Beach Concours, the truly great custom cars have been finding their way into serious collectors garages. Yes, there are plenty of collectors of Duesenbergs, Ferrari and rare sports cars that have added historically significant custom cars to their collections.
When you think of the most significant car customizers from 1950 to 1975, certainly one of the names that comes to mind is George Barris. When you think of the most significant customizers from 1975 to current day, Bo Huff comes to mind. Yes, Bo Huff has been making major award winning custom car sculptures that are truly one of a kind customs since he was 16 years old. However his most significant contributions to the design of rolling art has been in the 1980s, 1990s and yes he is still at it.
The car in this ad (in the opinion of MissChiTown) is absolutely one of Bo’s most significant custom creations and really needs no explanation once you see the pictures of the detailing of design, the coloring, the stance and ultimately the flow of the lines all working together. Yes, there are many Mercury’s that have been customized by many customizers over the decades but certainly the Bo Huff “Golden Rule” custom in this ad could easily end up in the top five if not being number one.
Rather then go over the specifics of all the design details we suggest that you check out the photos and we are sure that you will agree with us that this is a landmark custom car.
Several years ago when Bo first became ill, it was necessary for him to part with this car and a few of his other cars because of health related expenses. The new owner who dreamed of getting this car has now found it necessary for personal reasons to again make the car available for sale.
Here at MissChiTown we recently had a chance to see the “Golden Rule” in person at a major custom car show and can only say that while the pictures of the car are most impressive, it is nothing compared to seeing the car in person.

This Bo Huff original could be one of the most significant Mercury custom creations ever. We are certain it will stop anybody dead in their tracks when they see it at any car show.
