Here we are offering an elegant chopped top custom 1950 Mercury.
The inspiration for this build was obviously the Famous Hirohata Merc, built by George Barris in the early 1950’s.
This lead sled has a full GM chassis, giving it power steering, power brakes and a nice smooth ride. The body modifications and custom features are as follows:
Chopped roof, Slant “B” pillars, rounded hood, frenched headlights and 59 Caddy taillights, Custom air brushed Buick side trim, Louvered hood, 51 skirts, cold A/C, tilt Wheel , tinted glass, Air adjustable rear suspension with an on board compressor, dual exhaust, chrome extensions, AM/FM/CD, Power seat, frenched power antenna, Custom spoked wheels, electric wipers, Custom pin striping, radial tires, dummy spots, and lake pipes.
Under the hood is a Big block 402 Chevy, with a turbo 400 transmission. It has Chrome valve covers and a batwing air cleaner.
The paint is a beautiful Mint color which gives it a soft Classic look.
Note: upgraded Dash insert with all new gauges, and peep mirrors replaced with new chrome side views on both sides.
New battery, starter, rebuilt Carb, Valve covers, etc. .
