Price: US $10,000.00
I am in the near future retiring and am getting a start on reluctantly reducing my collection of cars and bike, as I will have no room to store them. This auction is for my 1962 MGA Mk II (in my opinion the best of the line) that I've owned and enjoyed for several years. I've never had any issues with her - always starts right up and purrs along. Over the years I've replaced numerous maintenance items, (belts, fan, water pump, fluids, plugs, gaskets, wires, stainless exhaust, etc.) along with cosmetic upgrades, (carpet, interior panels, etc.) This car has never seen a drop of water of any kind since I've owned her. While the paint looks brilliant in the photos, it does have some flaws (a repair at some time around the right front headlight, and some paint bubbles on the rockers while haven't increased in size in my ownership). I would describe it as well above average driver quality. The underside is as clear as they come, with no repairs or rust apparent. I does come with the top which if I recall has a small 3/4 tear which could be easily repaired. When I replaced the interior panels I didn't want to put new holes in the panels so I never put the top back on. The original tonneau is also included (it's shrunk a bit but does the job) as well as a multitude of parts that I've acquired when I've found them on sale (such as tie rod ends, front discs, pads, gaskets, rocker trim, etc, etc.). I'm very picky about maintenance, so she's always had fluid changes at no more than 1000 miles, and always changed prior to being put away for the winter (as well as all other maintenance for winterization). The speedo was sent out several years ago to be refurbished, but when installed after winter, it only operated properly for about 100 miles - changed the gear and cable and still wouldn't operate (don't want the new caretaker to have any surprises). Setting a very low reserve for the car, as I'm not a flipper looking to make a score, just looking to pass it on to the next owner. This car was originally purchased by an Air Force Colonel in Paris, France, and still sports the dealer plate on the rear. This is my wife's favorite car by far, so when she finds out I've put it up for sale she's not going to be very pleased with me. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Shipping of the car is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist in any way to help with the process (vehicle will not move until funds have completely cleared). Vehicle is sold as is, where is, without any warranty. I recommend and welcome an inspection on the vehicle. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have about the car, and Good Luck!
